This was the home of many a CHILVER, in fact the use of this name continued much longer here than in other parts of Norfolk. I will hazard a guess that most people with the CHILVER surname, (as opposed to CHILVERS), should be able to trace their ancestors to this area in the South of Norfolk.
I now know however that there are many CHILVER who have ancestors in Ardleigh, Essex but as yet no link to the Norfolk CHILVER has been found.
