(Another source: - Convicted in Suffolk (Beccles Quarter Sessions) on 3 January 1842. Sent to Australia on the John Renwick in 1843.)


"Bonded Passengers to America" vol.9:Coldham, P.W.

In July 1663 one John CHILVER was tried in the Norfolk Circuit Assize and Gaol Delivery Court. He was condemned to death but reprieved from capital punishment on condition of transportation to the American Colonies. He chose transportation.
